Terry

Terry loves to nurture “holding places” where people can remember the natural insight, warmth, and courage that dwells in each human. He calls this “essential blessing,” an identity that lies, often buried, under accumulated layers, ranging from distraction to shame. Terry is a Christian minister serving in the Presbyterian Church (USA), spiritual director, retreat leader, and poet. He is also a Certified Convening Leader practicing the Art of Convening.

He is a father of two young adults near the beginning of their own journeys and married to Jan who is a practicing psychotherapist specializing in trauma. He loves long contemplative walks in the woods with his yellow lab, Chai.

Terry recently "retired" after 18 years as Pastor of Forked River Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) in NJ. Previously served churches in PA, and Edinburgh, Scotland.

Certified Convening Leader

​In the Art of Convening (AoC), a relationship technology designed to ensure authentic engagement and creativity. 
​Co-pioneered experiential in-person and virtual learning approaches and co-founded a vibrant Community of Practice among AoC graduates.

Retreat leader

Terry has led retreats in many states in the U.S. as well as Uganda and Burundi, Africa and Scotland.

Spiritual Director

Terry earned his doctorate in Christian Spirituality and Spiritual Direction at San Fransisco Theological Seminary.  A member of Spiritual Directors International, Terry offers individual and group spiritual direction.
